About the RG's Department

The Registrar General's Department is responsible for such things as registering births, deaths and marriages, ownership of land and even registering companies and newspapers.

The services of the Registrar General are no longer at the Red House. Since 1999 the Registrar General's department has been located at Registration House on South Quay.
